Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using CleanDraft ("Service"), operated by CleanDraft ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CleanDraft is a content editing and optimization tool that audits and rewrites AI-generated content using brand voice configurations. The Service is provided on a subscription and credit-based pricing model.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying prompts, models, or algorithms
• Resell or redistribute Service output as a competing product
• Submit content containing malware, phishing attempts, or harmful code
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service beyond normal API usage

5. Intellectual Property

Content you submit remains yours. Content we generate for you (audit reports, edited content, brand voice configurations) is licensed to you for your use. Our system prompts, editorial rules, scoring algorithms, and brand voice synthesis methods are our proprietary intellectual property.

6. Payment and Billing

Paid plans are billed through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. Credits purchased do not expire. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

7. Free Tier

The free tier includes limited credits as described on our pricing page. Free tier usage is subject to the same terms as paid usage. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice.

9. Content and AI Disclaimer

CleanDraft uses AI models to analyze and rewrite content. AI-generated output may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing all output before publishing. We do not guarantee that edited content will be undetectable as AI-generated. We do not guarantee specific search engine rankings or AI search citation placement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CleanDraft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for a reasonable period for legal and operational purposes.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
